.With this plan Airtel subscriber can Call any Airtel number anywhere in the country, local or STD at just 1p/ Sec and enjoy the advantage of being on Airtel.

Now “Pay Per Second plan is available for all Existing & New Prepaid customers across India. According to the Airtel, “Freedom Plan” cannot be combined with any other Special Value Voucher or any other Full talktime offers.

Airtel Subscriber can recharge with Freedom plan, however the benefit of your existing SVV will stop. Similarly, if you recharge with any SVV after taking the Freedom plan, the benefit of freedom plan will stop.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has directed three 3G Mobile service providers, Bharti Airtel, Tata Teleservices (Tata Docomo) and Reliance Communications (RCOM) to put on hold their 3G Video Calling services until interception facilities are cleared by security agencies or Home Ministry.

A demonstration was organized by Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices (TTSL) and Bharti Airtel during which the law enforcement agencies pointed out that on-line delivery of 3G Video Calls intercepts “In Real Time” could not be carried out by any of the above private 3G telecom operators.

The contents of such 3G Video calls were displayed after 5 minutes of the completion of these calls as against the requirement of the agencies which want such details and interceptions on real-time basis. During the demonstration of 3G services

India’s largest Mobile Service operator and Global  telecommunications company Bharti Airtel, today revised its default  GPRS charges  and have  Internet browsing tariff by more than 150% !. Interestingly this time no price drop,  Airtel has the 2G GPRS/EDGE browsing charges.

Now Airtel GPRS/Mobile Office users will be charged at 30p/20KB pulse rate(existing rate is 30p/50KB) In other words, now a Airtel GPRS customer will have to pay around Rs. 15/MB in stead of the existing rate Rs. 6/MB.

The new tariff will be applicable from 5th January 2010. This change in tariff does not impact on new postpaid and prepaid subscribers who enroll any tariff plan in last 6 months as per  rules. All such customers upon completion of 6 months on their existing plan......
